Section of Chestnut Street in Camden closing Sept. 3
CAMDEN – The Camden Police Department is advising the public that a section of lower Chestnut Street from Elm to Wood Streets will be closed to all parking beginning at midnight on Sept. 3 and will reopen after the cars have departed early that evening. The area needs to be prepared for the annual Classic Car Show, according to a new release.
Chief Randy Gagne said that the area must be free of all vehicles since the parking spots in this section of Chestnut Street will be closed off beginning at 10:30 p.m.
Gagne said that if vehicles are left there after midnight on Sept. 3, they are subject to being towed at the owners’ expense. The Parking Enforcement Officer for Camden, Mark Bennett, will be meeting with the businesses, churches and homes on Chestnut street to personally let people know about this annual event.
