    SEARSPORT — In his regular Radio Searsport email dispatches, resident Dick Desmarais seeks to keep the community updated on pending municipal and school  board meetings, local fisheries hearings and other items of interest.

    Following is the most recent Radio Searsport dispatch, dated March 3.

    • Tuesday, March 5, from 8 a.m. 70 8 p.m., polls will be open for voting in the Dan Rich Public Safety Building.

    • Tuesday, March 5, starting at 7 p.m., the regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen will take place in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.

    • Saturday. March 9, starting at 9 a.m., the town meeting will be held in the Searsport High School Gym. Copies of the Annual Report are available at the Town Hall and will also be available at the meeting.

    • Saturday, March 9, starting at 5 p.m., the Searsport United Methodist Church will hold its monthly turkey supper with all the trimmings. Cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under.

    • Sunday, March 10, daylight saving time begins, turns clocks forward one hour beginning at 2 a.m.

    • There is still time to donate to the World War II Memorial Fund. The amount of money needed to complete the Honor Roll will be on the warrant at the town meeting. It would be nice if the money needed was donated in full before the meeting. The amount needed is now down to around $800, from the original $1,500.     • Monday, March 11, starting at 6:30 p.m., the regular meeting of the Planning Board will be held in the Town Hall. This meeting will be televised.
