District 37 voters face a clear choice between Scott Cuddy and the incumbent. Scott has a strong record from his four years in the Legislature, delivering meaningful results for his district. As a member of the Energy, Utilities, and Technology (EUT) Committee, he tackled complex technical issues with skill and commitment. Over his tenure, Scott sponsored 29 bills, focusing on protecting labor laws, reducing consumer costs, and strengthening the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

I can attest to EUT committee members' steep learning curve in understanding complex energy issues. Scott thoroughly understood how large energy systems operate, regionally and within Maine, and the role various power sources play in delivering reliable and affordable electricity. He also recognizes how thoughtful, strategic investments in renewable energy can transform our local economy and provide a stable, long-term foundation for growth. 

Scott Cuddy is acutely aware of the challenges faced by nearly half the residents in and around Penobscot Bay. He understands the difficulties of living paycheck to paycheck and the necessity of juggling multiple jobs just to get by. His advocacy for the development of the offshore wind port in Searsport, which promises significant job creation and economic revitalization, is a clear demonstration of his empathy and commitment to the community.

District 37 deserves a representative in Augusta who will prioritize local interests and drive economic progress. Scott Cuddy, with his extensive experience, in-depth knowledge, and unwavering commitment, is the ideal candidate to serve the community and help improve its economy.
