Pope Memorial Humane Society hosts new art exhibition through Apr. 30
THOMASTON — Pope Memorial Humane Society’s newest exhibition of artwork is now being displayed on the Art Wall in the lobby of Pope Memorial Humane Society. The current show, featuring pieces by Brooke Chase, will be on display and available for purchase through April 30, 2022.
“With a camera in hand as far back as I can remember, photography was ingrained in me at a young age,” said Chase of her inspiration. “Growing up on a farm in Maine, between the acres of land and the animals we raised I was never short on subject matter. I was always outside and to this day nature is a constant source of inspiration in my work. Observant in my surroundings, I easily find beauty in the everyday.”
Pope Memorial Humane Society is currently open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., we encourage our community to visit the shelter and see both Brooke’s artwork and adoptable animals. If you are interested in exhibiting your work on the PMHS Art Wall, please email art@popehumane.org.
Pope Memorial Humane Society’s mission is to ensure the compassionate care, treatment, and placement of companion animals in transition and enrich the lives of pets and people in our community.
