A group of rebels challenged the January chill at the height of 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 during Camden’s WinterFest. But, though the day’s temperatures peaked around 37 degrees in Knox County, polar plungers didn’t linger in the Atlantic Ocean.
As they do every year, the Camden Fire Dept. joined the crowd at the boat launch, keeping their cold-water rescue gear and first aid equipment at the ready for any emergency that might arise. Their services were not needed.
