MORRILL — Patricia Woodbury, long time resident of Morrill, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. Patricia was born on October 18, 1948 ,the daughter of Marion and Marc LeBlanc. She was raised in Rockland with her younger sister Elaine, and she enjoyed spending her summers on Criehaven where she often painted buoys for a little spending money.

A determined and independent woman, Patricia completed nursing school and working in the hospital she took to the roads of Waldo, Knox and Lincoln County as a public health nurse. Here she stumbled upon her soon to be husband, Patrick Woodbury in Morrill, where she fell in love with the man and his outdoorsman life. Married to Patrick in 1977, they had two children, Andrea and Jeffrey, who each gave her two wonderful grandchildren. Devoted to helping others, she cared for not only her own family, but many others through the Public Nursing Program as well as Early Head Start in Waldo County.

Pat touched many lives not only in her professional life, but also in the quilting and crafting communities that she belonged to. Many can admit to approaching her with the words “Pat can you help me…” knowing that she was likely to complete the request with a chuckle, a smile and the reassurance of “We didn’t make a mistake, we just learned a lesson.”

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Patrick Woodbury; her son Jeffrey and wife Jillian and their two children; her daughter Andrea and husband Greg Thayer and their two children; and a host of loving family members and friends.

Please join us in remembering Patricia, Saturday, February 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, ME. We will gather formally at 11 a.m., when we look forward to sharing stories of her good-will and generosity, so please bring a memory to share!

In lieu of flowers for Patricia, it would be her wish that you give flowers to a friend or loved one, as she was delighted in seeing the joy a simple floral bouquet could bring.

Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
