CAMDEN — The board of directors at Megunticook Rowing are pleased to announce Olivia Goodwin-Cook will be the next director and coach of the organization.

Goodwin-Cook has a long history with Megunticook Rowing, the place where her rowing career began as a varsity rower and coxswain.

Afterwards, she excelled at Connecticut College as the varsity men’s coxswain for four years. While at Connecticut College, Goodwin-Cook worked under head coach, Ric Ricci, where she was tasked with performance analysis, workout development, and collegiate coaching.

During summer months Goodwin-Cook coached Megunticook Rowing’s masters rowers, and was the head sailing instructor for the Rockport Boat Club, where she was instrumental in the development of Rockport Boat Club’s sailing curriculum.

Off-the-water, Goodwin-Cook researched and implemented Megunticook Rowing’s first donor management system and administered the organization's social media and marketing platforms.

“Olivia has been a part of our organization for many years. Her institutional knowledge, rowing experience, and leadership, both on and off the water makes her the perfect fit,” said Meg Webb, President of Megunticook Rowing’s Board of Directors. “We are extremely pleased that Olivia will continue to be a part of Megunticook Rowing. She is joining our team at a critical time in the history of our organization. She will be leading Megunticook Rowing forward into our next chapter.”

Founded in 2008, the mission of Megunticook Rowing is to strengthen minds, bodies and community through rowing. Since Megunticook Rowing’s inception, hundreds of rowers have enjoyed getting on the water whether they have experience, or are new to the sport.
