Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital is transitioning to a new electronic health record (EHR) software. On June 26, Maine Coast Hospital will join all other Northern Light Health hospitals, con the same EHR.

“Much preparation has gone into ensuring this transition goes smoothly,” said Northern Lights, in a news release. “The hospital warns that care teams may need extra time for scheduling and during visits as they adjust to the new system.”

Maine Coast has arranged for additional staffing and resources to support the hospital, physician practices, and other services as they work through the changes.

“We know this new EHR will enable us to provide the safest and highest quality care possible when sharing patient information between providers and facilities,” said John Ronan, Maine Coast Hospital president. “I expect a successful conversion, our providers and staff have been carefully planning for this important project.”

Patients who are enrolled in the current patient portal will need to register for the new system and are encouraged to ask for more information at their next appointment.
