In the summer of 2026,  developers of the former Rockport Elementary School site at the intersection of routes 1 and 90 in Rockport are hoping to open a new community park.

"In the meantime, we need your help finding a fitting name," said the Lesher Family Foundation, which is partnering with the Town of Rockport to create the new park, "a place for the entire community to gather, recreate and connect to nature."

A survey is now underway and the public is invited to share ideas on what to name the park (Click here to take the survey). The deadline is March 28.

The design team at Tandem has produced an initial drawing of the park.
