Monthly online giveaways by PBRCC members
ROCKLAND — Beginning this month, the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce introduces a new monthly giveaway program on their Facebook page.
The program will run every month in 2015. All products and services included in each giveaway have been donated by current PBRCC member businesses.
Maggi Blue, PBRCC Marketing Director, said in a news release: "We are introducing these giveaways to encourage online engagement for the Chamber, and for our members. Meaningful online interaction can be difficult as we become inundated with emails, Facebook messages and other targeted online advertising campaigns.
“This is a simple way to showcase participating members, forward traffic to their online outlets while introducing the community to products and services they may not be aware exist."
January's "New Year, New You" Facebook giveaway campaign (the first of 12 giveaways) rolled out on January 13 and includes more than $500 in products and services. Items range from electric bill discounts to spa treatments and massages to free oil changes.
January's participating members include:
Skin Klinic and Day Spa
Camden Maine Massage Therapy
Calming Presence Holistic Therapies
Coppola Salon and Day Spa
RHEAL day spa
Anthony Lee OD and Associates Eyecare
Electricity Maine
Rockport Automotive, Inc.
Penobscot School
Entering for a chance at the giveaway requires a simple "like" of the giveaway post. An additional entry can be achieved with a comment on the post. Everyone over 18 years old, excluding Chamber staff, are eligible to enter. The winner will be announced January 30 at 5 p.m. on the Chamber's Facebook page.
The giveaway can be found on the PBRCC Facebook page: www.facebook.com/PenobscotBayRegionalChamber
"The key to this campaign's success will be a low barrier for entrance," Blue said. "We want this to be something that community members, chamber members and non-chamber members can participate in with a simple click."
Chamber members who would like to participate with a donation may email maggi@penbaychamber.com.
Formed on August 1, 2011 through the consolidation of the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber and the Rockland-Thomaston Area Chamber, the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in Knox, Waldo, and northern Lincoln counties.
The third largest chamber in the state of Maine (and the largest chamber representing smaller, coastal communities), the PBRCC is also one of the largest membership-driven community organizations in the area, according to the news release. The Chamber represents the coming together of businesses, nonprofits, government, and citizens in support of a vibrant and growing region with unparalleled quality of life and quality of place.
