MONROE — A man wanted in relation to an alleged domestic violence assault has been arrested by Maine State Police after he was discovered at his home in Monroe, according to a post on the agency’s Facebook page.

Brian Hybers, 27, has been charged with domestic violence assault, aggravated assault, and a probation violation. The alleged assault occurred in the early hours of Jan. 1 in Monroe, and Hybers left the residence prior to police arrival.

The residence Hybers was located in is reportedly the same residence where the alleged assault took place.

Hybers was arrested by Corporal Jeremiah Wesbrock and Trooper Sidney Stewart around noon Jan. 13. He was transported to Waldo County Jail where he is being held without bail.

Though State Police didn’t comment on the nature of the injuries suffered, the victim of the alleged assault required hospitalization for non-life-threatening injuries.
