Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education accepting applications for upcoming Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class

ROCKLAND — Mid-Coast School of Technology Adult Education is accepting applications for its upcoming Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class and can help students find funding to pay for it, according to a news release.

Students enrolled in this certificate program complete a minimum of 130 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training, meeting all state licensing requirements. Students who successfully complete the course and pass the state competency exam are eligible to enter the healthcare field as Certified Nursing Assistants under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Funding opportunities are available through Pen Bay Apprenticeship’s “Earn While You Learn” program and several others.

The next class starts November 8 and runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Class size is limited; applying early is advised.
