Lincolnville readies for July 14 ballot town meeting, holds public hearing on warrant

    LINCOLNVILLE — Meeting remotely, the Lincolnville Select Board will hold a public hearing this evening, June 22, on a town meeting warrant that will be presented to voters via referendum ballot on July 14 at the polls. Lincolnville will not be holding an open floor town meeting, which is the norm for all Maine municipalities, due to COVID-19.

    Additionally, this evening, the selectmen will consider other agenda items that include hearing a report from the Broadband Committee.

    The town meeting warrant proposed for Lincolnville is abbreviated, with 18 articles (as opposed to 30-40 articles). (See attached PDF for entire warrant list)

    Tonight’s meeting will be held remotely via Zoom beginning at 6 p.m. The meetings of the Board of Selectmen are also available to view as normal via the Local Government Access Channel (CableTV channel 22), live streamed via Lincolnville’s YouTube Channel and video archived on the town’s web site.

    The public can also view and participate in the meeting via Zoom www.zoom.us click on “Join a Meeting”, enter the Meeting ID (827-1718-3711) no password is required. The public can then participate via the “Chat” feature.
