Katharine Cartwright exhibits 'Organic' at Craignair Gallery

SPRUCE HEAD — Organic, an exhibition of fine art by Spruce Head artist Katharine Cartwright, is on display at the Craignair Gallery.
Cartwright’s exhibition includes watercolor paintings of her favorite vegetables which she grows using organic standards.
“My inspiration for this series flows from observing the beautiful symmetry and elegance of my garden plants," said Cartwright, in a news release. "Each painting is a portrait that bring focus to that characteristics.”
Cartwright holds Signature status to the National Watercolor Society, the New England Watercolor Society, and the Missouri Watercolor Society. Her works have appeared in museum exhibitions internationally and will appear in a special exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of Natural History early next year.
