ROCKLAND — The Rockland office of J. Edward Knight Insurance has made a donation of $600 to two local charities: Pope Memorial Humane Society and the South School Holiday Help Program. 

The funds were raised through the company's Dress Down for a Cause program. Every Friday, employees have the opportunity to dress casually by making a $2 donation. The collected funds are then pooled and donated to a worthy cause chosen by the employees every two months. 

"We are proud to support these important organizations that make a positive impact on our community," said Amy Sutter, Rockland Office Supervisor at J. Edward Knight Insurance, in a news release. "Our employees are passionate about giving back, and the Dress Down for a Cause program is a great way for us to come together and make a difference." 

Pope Memorial Humane Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing shelter, care, and adoption services for animals in need. The South School Holiday Help Program provides gifts and necessities to children and families in the Rockland area during the holiday season.
