Walk in with a block of ice. Walk out with a masterpiece. Not everyone can bring the ice magic, which is why some people wouldn’t blame the crowds for inching closer as creative sculptors chisel towards fine art.

Boot-clad spectators swarmed the Camden Amphitheatre during the middle part of the day, Saturday, Jan. 27, for Camden WinterFest 2024. But with 36-degree temperatures, the boots weren’t for walking through snowdrifts. Instead, the boots kept socks dry from the puddles and slush. 

Temperatures stayed warm enough to allow for tolerable working conditions, but still cool enough to keep the blocks from melting.
