No snow. No problem. Paws and boots made a splash in the Camden Amphitheatre slush during WinterFest, Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024. 

Following a runway demonstration by the P.A.W.S. mascot, several dogs and one cat strutted their stuff in front of an admiring crowd. The 12 p.m. event, which lasted about 17 minutes, drew an enthusiastic all-ages crowd into the 36-degree day. In the background, teams chiseled, sanded, and envisioned their way towards beautiful ice creations.

Within the dog costume fun, a cat in a shark costume managed to pull a variety of expressions from annoyed to intrigued while the canine brother of the family seemed a little more somber in his lobster duds. 

One dog appeared fine with all of the other human and four-legged creatures in the vicinity, except the PAWS mascot, drawing a bit of barking and up-close angry inspection.

Some dogs came in obvious costume – the fly fisher, the lobster, the Bruins fan, the patriotic colors of a future president, a cargo pants lover – other animals dressed in sweaters or arrived au natural. 

Still yet, other dogs lined the perimeter, but were cute-worthy of a photograph.
