GORHAM — The Midcoast is being represented in the Maine Junior Golf Championship by a Knox County golfer for the two-day event taking place July 28-29 at the Gorham Country Club. 

The championship is restricted to Maine resident amateurs who have not yet reached their 19th birthday on July 28, 2020. 

The championship will be contested in divisions: Boys 11 & Under, Boys 12-13, Boys 14-15, and Boys 16-18; Girls 13 & Under, Girls 14-15, Girls 16-18.

In the boys 16-18 age group, St. George resident Parker Hilchey finished the opening day tied for 11th place after shooting a 76 in round one for five over par. 

At the end of the two day event, Hilchey finished tied for ninth place after shooting a 73 on the second day for a total gross of 149; seven over par for both days.
