Healthy Kids' Strawberry Shortcake Shuffle raises money for programs, July 5
Healthy Kids’ 20th annual Strawberry Shortcake Shuffle 5k/Walk will run again this year. The event will be held July 5 at the Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta.
An out and back course is well marked, and the race is professionally timed, according to organizers, in a news release. All runners and walkers will receive 20th Anniversary wicking T-shirts and custom lip balm with sunscreen. There will be homemade strawberry shortcake for all. Prizes and recognition will be given out by age categories.
The race supports the programs of Healthy Kids, aimed at strengthening all our families and ensuring child safety, which everyone in the community has a role in.
This year’s Strawberry Shortcake Shuffle and is sponsored by Bath Savings Institution, Hannaford and Renys. Strawberry level sponsorships are provided by Colby and Gale, King Eiders Pub, Lifespan Family Health Care, and Newcastle Realty/Cheney Financial Group.
"We are thankful for all of our community partners," said Healthy Kids.
