Granite Coast Orthodontics welcomes Dr. Emily Leach
ROCKPORT — Granite Coast Orthodontics announces the addition of Dr. Emily Leach, DMD, MS, to its team.
"Leach brings an outstanding academic record, a passion for patient care, and a deep connection to the Midcoast Maine community to her new role," said Granite Coast Orthodontics, in a news release.
Leach, a Warren native, joins Granite Coast Orthodontics after completing her orthodontic residency and earning a Master’s degree in Oral Biology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her Master's thesis on the degradation of plastic aligners earned her international recognition, placing second in the American Association of Orthodontists competition.
Leach’s journey in healthcare began at Penbay Hospital before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of New England’s School of Dental Medicine. Her dedication to service was evident throughout her education, where she was known for supporting her peers and providing exceptional care to patients, particularly through her involvement with the cleft lip and palate clinic, according to the release.
Leach’s local roots run deep. A graduate of Medomak High School and Valedictorian of her class, she went on to Colby College to earn a B.A. in Biochemistry. Her passion for science and patient-focused care has shaped her into a dedicated and innovative orthodontist who is excited to bring her expertise back to her hometown.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Emily Leach to Granite Coast Orthodontics,” said Dr. Douglas Laliberte, DMD, CAGS, founder of the practice. “Her exceptional qualifications, collaborative spirit, and commitment to personalized patient care will elevate our ability to serve the community. Emily’s return to Maine is a homecoming that underscores her commitment to giving back and creating lasting connections in her own backyard.”
Leach is excited to join the Granite Coast Orthodontics and looks forward to continuing its tradition of providing exceptional care while expanding services to better meet the needs of patients, according to Granite Coast Orthodontics.
Outside of the office, she and her fiancé, Thomas Spaulding, are eager to continue exploring Maine’s natural beauty.
Granite Coast Orthodontics invites patients, colleagues, and community members to join in welcoming Dr. Leach to the practice. Together with Dr. Laliberte, she is dedicated to redefining orthodontic care in Midcoast Maine.
