Friends of Rockland Public Library holds Festival of Trees Silent Auction, Nov. 25
ROCKLAND — The Friends of Rockland Public Library will hold their annual Festival of Trees Silent Auction and Raffle on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Rockland Public Library. The silent auction begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
More than 30 festively decorated tabletop trees and wreaths will be featured throughout the library. All are decorated by local businesses and often include a generous gift certificate. The Library will be decked out in the holiday spirit as well.
Everyone is invited to stop in, enjoy some holiday cheer, see familiar faces and bid on your favorite trees and wreaths. Friends will also have a few other special items up for silent auction. All proceeds from this event will go directly to support the Rockland Public Library.
The Book Stop, located on the bottom floor of the library, will have extended holiday shopping hours that day as well, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Patrons will find an abundance of gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books, all for $5 or less. There is also a selection of specialty books, priced accordingly.
“This is one of our most beloved events that we hold, and we couldn't do it without the overwhelming support of our local businesses and volunteers,” said Friends, in a news release. “The Friends of Rockland Public Library are grateful for the generosity of the many local businesses that agreed to decorate a tree or wreath this year AND for the community members who come and bid! Join your neighbors and friends at the Festival of Trees Silent Auction on Saturday, November 25.”
