ROCKLAND — The Knox County Child Abuse Prevention Council is offering a free parenting class to help parents and caretakers of children ages 0-5 with many of the challenges of parenting in a demanding world.

Attendees will learn how to build stronger bonds with their children, learn how their child’s brain is developing and how to encourage positive behavior.

In collaboration with RSU 13, Active Parenting First Five Years will begin Thursday, April 25, and meet Thursdays through May 16.

Classes will be held at the Rockland South School, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A light meal will be served, and childcare is available.

Everything is free.

Broadreach is the representative of the Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) Prevention Council of Maine for Knox and Waldo Counties, delivering programs supported by the Department of Health and Human Services and Maine Children’s Trust.

All are welcome.

Registration is required.
