First Bancorp elects Bruce Tindal as Chair

The First Bancorp, parent company of First National Bank, said Wednesday, April 26, that its board of directors has elected Bruce Tindal as the board’s chair.

Tindal served as a Director of the Company since 1999 and has helped guide the Company through the merger of the First National Bank of Damariscotta with First National Bank of Bar Harbor.  During his tenure he has chaired the Compensation, Directors Loan and Governance Committees in addition to serving on the Asset Liability Committee as well as the Trust/Investment Committee.

A resident of the Boothbay region, Tindal founded Tindal & Callahan Real Estate in 1985.  He has been a realtor since 1977. He has served as President and Treasurer of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors, is a Lifetime member of the Maine Association of Realtors, and a founding member of the Coastal Connection. He is Past President and currently member of the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club. He has served on the boards of the Boothbay Region Land Trust, Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce, St. Andrews’ Village, and St. Andrews’ Hospital. 

Mr. Tindal succeeds Mark Rosborough who had served as the board’s chair since 2017 and  retired from the board on April 26.
