Domestic incident leads to arrest of Northport man
NORTHPORT — A Northport man was arrested Nov. 19, following the report of a domestic incident occurring at a residence on Beech Hill Road.
Dustin Barrows, 33, is facing multiple charges following the 8 p.m. confrontation.
Sergeant James Greeley and Deputy Andrew Mulligan responded to scene where they met with the complainant.
The victim told law enforcement that Barrows had arrived at the residence traveling at a high rate of speed, striking a woodpile with his vehicle.
Barrows was reportedly acting erratically, attempting to break a window with a large rock, only to strike the siding of the home, according to a press release. He also allegedly took the woman’s phone from her hand while she was speaking with Waldo County Communications, throwing it onto the roof of the residence.
The woman reportedly told responding deputies that she then witnessed Barrows moving a propane tank so that it rested against her garage, at which point he began using a torch on the tank’s valve.
Barrows has been charged with domestic violence assault, obstructing the report of a crime, reckless conduct, criminal mischief and violation of conditions of release.
