Dates, changes announced for 2024 Union Fair, Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival
UNION — The Trustees of the Union Fair – Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival have announced the dates to the 2024 event.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control our 2024 fair will be a little different than previous years,” said the Trustees, in a news release.
The 2024 Union Fair will start on Sunday, July 7, 2024 and end on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. The Union Fair will host the agricultural animals, livestock pulling events, Exhibition Hall displays and contest entries, and 4-H Barn, 4-H Farm to Fair, and 4-H Yurt.
The Matthew’s Museum and Moxie Museum will also be open.
The Union Fair will offer complementary admission on Sunday, July 7, through Tuesday, July 9.
The 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will start on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 and end on Sunday July 14, 2024.
Wednesday, July 10, will include many blueberry themed events to include a traditional blueberry pie dessert giveaway and the coronation of the 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Queen starting at 6:30 p.m.
Midway rides, provided by Smokey’s Greater Shows, will start beginning on Wednesday, July 10, at 1 p.m.
Other events during Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will be a Children’s Pig Scramble, Tuff Truck competition, bands and solo musical artists, kids events, and for the first time the Axe Women Loggers of Maine will perform three lumberjill shows daily on Friday, July 12 - Sunday, July 14.
The Annual Demolition Derby will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 6 p.m.
Admission during the 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival will be $20 for anyone 24 inches or taller. The $20 “Pay One Price” admission includes all entertainment, events, and unlimited midways rides.
Trustees have provided a graphic to help educate the general public about what offerings will be available during the 2024 Union Fair and the 2024 Maine’s Wild Blueberry Festival.
