Bruce C. Bouldry, obituary

ROCKPORT — Bruce Bouldry, 64, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Rockport, Maine after a short illness. Born in Needham, MA on March 1, 1955, Bruce was the son of William and Eleanor Bouldry of Dover,
MA.

Bruce graduated from Dover-Sherborn Regional High School, then went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Montana State University in 1980.

He worked for General Dynamics in Quincy, Mass for 5 years, then changed course and headed to Maine to become a builder of wooden boats at the Rockport Apprenticeshop. A resident of Rockport for over 30 years, Bruce is well known for his carpentry work, his sailing skills, and his kind heart. Bruce also had a great love for Cape Cod where he spent many summer vacations with his family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, William W. Bouldry.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor H. Bouldry of Brewster, MA ; sisters Janice McGann and her husband, Bob, of Brewster, MA and Karen Cook, and her husband, Wyatt, of Crofton MD; and three nieces, Lauren, Lindsay, and Emily whom Bruce cared for and loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sussman House Hospice of Rockport for their exceptional care and personal attention.

Friends, family members and others whose lives Bruce touched are invited to a memorial and celebration of his life on Saturday, September 28, at 1 p.m., at the Rockport Opera House in Rockport, ME. The family asks that guests come ready to share stories, laughs and songs, just as Bruce would want to be celebrated.
