Author of Mainely Mystery series introduces new book at Lincolnville talk
LINCOLNVILLE — Lincolnville Community Library welcomes Maine author Matt Cost for a reading and discussion of his newest novel, Pirate Trap, a Clay Wolfe/ Port Essex Mystery on Wednesday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. This program will be in-person only. Book signings and refreshments will follow.
Matt Cost’s talk will feature his latest release in the Clay Wolfe/Port Essex series, Pirate Trap. He will talk about the creation of the town of Port Essex on the Maine coast, the evolution of the series leading to this fifth book, and the love of pirates that we all possess in some corner of our being.
Cost will discuss the research that went into the book and how it is quite possible that this long-lost treasure actually exists. This will all be woven into a talk of the evolution of a book from idea to promotion and everything in between.
Matt Cost is the highly acclaimed, award-winning author of the Mainely Mystery series. The first book, Mainely Power, was selected as the Maine Humanities Council Read ME Fiction Book of 2020. I Am Cuba: Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution was his first traditionally published novel.
