Alison McKellar puts thoughtful, thorough effort into her work for Camden

We are writing to enthusiastically support Alison McKellar for re-election to Camden’s Select Board.

Alison is compassionate, hard-working and open-minded. We are regularly in awe of the thoughtful and thorough effort Alison puts into her work for our town. She clearly cares deeply about both the town and everyone who calls Camden home, from children to the elderly, newcomers to long-term residents, and spanning the socio-economic spectrum.

Not only does Alison delve deeply into issues, examining them from multiple perspectives, she spends additional time sharing her thoughts and findings with the community, educating and inspiring all of us along the way.

What impresses us most about Alison is her ability to genuinely listen with curiosity to understand people with differing opinions. This trait, which seems increasingly rare in today's world, sets Alison apart. Not only does she approach differing views with curiosity and an open mind, but she is willing to reconsider her own stance when presented with new information. Even if we may not always agree with Alison, we have unwavering confidence that she thoroughly contemplates each issue, taking into account its impact on Camden and its residents as a whole.

We are working parents with three children in the public schools, we are active in the community, and we are passionate about the outdoors. We love Camden and what it offers, and we know it takes a lot of work to make our amazing town what it is. Alison McKellar puts in the work and balances our history beautifully with forward progress.

We would be fortunate to have Alison’s heart, leadership and transparency on our Select Board for three more years!
