CAMDEN — The Camden High School Alumni Association board of directors met last week to begin making plans for the 111th Annual Alumni Banquet.

The Banquet will be held on Friday, August 12 in the Islesboro Ballroom at Point Lookout at 67 Atlantic Hwy. (Route 1)in Northport. The doors will open at 4 p.m. for the Silent Auction and a cash bar.

The dining room doors will open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The Silent Auction will once again be held, and anyone wishing to donate a new or quality used item should contact David Ames at (207)789­-5118 or damesref@tidewater.net. All donations are greatly appreciated and can be made at any time from now through August 10.

The Scholarship Committee will be awarding three $750 scholarships to CHS Seniors and Post Grads.

In addition, the Classes of 1951 and 1954 are each sponsoring a scholarship through donations from their classmates. Donations to the CHS Alumni Scholarship Fund will be gratefully accepted by Treasurer, Sheila McFarland at 448 Youngtown Rd., Lincolnville, ME 04849.

Nominations for the CHS Alumni Recognition Award for outstanding service to Camden and/or the CHS Alumni Association may be made by contacting Diann Henderson at ddhenders@hotmail.com.

Ticket prices remain $30 this year, and ticket applications are being sent out to all those attending last year's banquet.
