‘You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes....’ Dr. Seuss Week at Thomaston Grammar School

The week of February 27 to March 3 was Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Week, and at the Thomaston Grammar School, Dr. Seuss was the theme all week long.
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
On Monday, students and all wore red and white Cat in the Hat hats.
“Think and wonder, wonder and think.”
Tuesday was Topsy Turvy Day with pajamas being the comfy cozy clothes of choice.
“You are you. Now, isn’t that pleasant?”
Wacky Wednesday saw many silly mismatched outfits.
“You’ll miss the best things if you keep your eyes shut.”
On Thing One Thing Two Thursday, they wore their beloved Mr. Winslow T-shirts. Several teachers were M&Ms, while other students dressed as twins, triplets, quadruplets and on and on.
“From there to here, and here to there, funny things are everywhere.”
Friday was Fedora Day, and they donned favorite hats. Throughout the week, guest readers joined classes and read Dr. Seuss books, and scrumptious Seuss snacks abounded.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” — Dr. Seuss
