STOCKTON SPRINGS — Irene A. Marshall, 73, of Stockton Springs, passed away on May 23, 2016. Irene was born in Teaneck, N.J., on Aug. 28, 1942, to Leo J. and M. Ellen (Hughes) Marshall.

Irene's calling was helping people through being a registered nurse, including as director of nursing at Waldo County General Hospital and working at Orono at the School of Nursing for many years. She was also active with the Belfast Maskers for years prior to having a stroke. Irene also worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center and was on the Board of Directors of Belfast Area Visiting Nurses Association. She was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi in Belfast.

Irene was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Brian Marshall. She leaves behind two nephews and their families; her four-legged companions; and friends and colleagues too numerous to count.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi in Belfast.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maskers of Belfast Area Visiting Nurses Association.
