Richard ‘Rick’ Snodgrass, obituary
CUSHING — Richard Dale “Rick” Snodgrass, 57, died unexpectedly Dec. 21, 2014, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born Oct. 28, 1957, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Rick graduated from Martins Ferry High School in 1975.
Following high school he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War. Most recently he has been employed as a corrections officer at the Maine State Prison in Warren.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth J. Snodgrass; his stepmother, Ernestine Snodgrass; his four children, Stephanie of Cushing, as well as Tonia, Kimmie and Michael.
He is also survived by his four brothers, Michael Greco, John Greco, Daniel Greco and David Weekley; four sisters, Jeanette Melko, Peggy Kozora, Diana Sinclair and Erin Clark. Preceding him in death was his mother, Shirley Snodgrass; and a brother, Mark Weekley.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, Dec. 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. with a service of remembrance to be held at 8 p.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland. His Ohio family will be remembering his life at a memorial service on Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at East Richland Friends Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
