Sussman House opens its doors to hospice residents

ROCKPORT — On Friday, Dec. 12, the Sussman House opened and began accepting residents. The Sussman House will provide care for people whose symptoms are not well managed at home and are in need of hospice care as they near the end of their life.
The Sussman House is Maine’s third free-standing hospice facility, offering an alternative general inpatient level of care in a tranquil, private, home-like setting, according to a news release.
