Rockland rally against hollowing out of the federal government

At noon March 22, a sunny Saturday in Rockland, Midcoast demonstrators gathered at Rockland’s Chapman Park to protest the hollowing out of the federal government.
Carrying all manner of creative homemade signs, they gathered as they have doing for the past month, on Saturdays from noon to 1 p.m. They vow to continue their Saturday protests indefinitely.
The Knox County Democrats and the Audacity/Indivisible Organization cosponsor the rallies, part of a growing movement across the nation.
The general mood was one of solidarity and friendship that was reinforced by passing motorists honking their horns in support.
The only downside, at the beginning of the rally, was the anonymous removal of the Chapman Park American flag that was replaced by a Trump flag.
