Lee-Ann Moore Upham, obituary
THOMASTON — Lee-Ann Moore Upham, 80, of Thomaston, died March 14, 2025 at the Woodlands in Rockland. Lee-Ann was born December 17, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts to David P. Moore and Madeline Cynthia Ames Moore. Lee-Ann graduated from Rockland District High School in the class of 1963.
Lee-Ann moved to Boston in 1963 to work for B. Marcus of Wilbar Shoe Company where she merchandised for 27 stores. She moved back to Maine in 1972. She met and married John Upham on October 7, 1972.
Lee-Ann started an antique store in 1972 with her mother-in-law, Gwen Robinson. Together, they ran the store for thirty-four years. Lee-Ann was very active in the Town of Thomaston community for 38 years, serving on the Budget Committee for the town, Select Board from 1991 until retiring on July 13, 2020 after 29 years, and as president of the Chamber of Commerce.
Lee-Ann was predeceased by her dear friend and business partner, Gwen Robinson, who died in 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Upham of Thomaston; brother, Blaine Cardilli of Winthrop; and friend Sandy Moore of Thomaston.
A Committal Service will be held March 26, at 10 a.m., at the Village Cemetery in Thomaston, followed by a memorial service to celebrate Lee-Ann’s life at 11 a.m., at the Thomaston Federated Church, 8 Hyler Street, Thomaston with Rev. Susan Stonestreet officiating.
