NORTHPORT — Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Maine Health’s Community Health program for a Happy Wanderers Hike, Thursday, March 6, at 10 a.m., at McLellan Poor Preserve, in Northport. 

All are welcome. This hike is about 2 miles out-and-back along a path with moderate elevation. Hiking boots or weather durable shoes, hiking poles, and drinking water are recommended.

Directions: Meet at the trailhead located on Route 1. From Belfast, take Route 1 south. The preserve is 100 yards south of the Belfast/Northport town line. Parking is on the right.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.  

Community Health programming is offered by PenBay Medical Center’s Community Health Improvement Team and is focused on preventing and reducing chronic disease and promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
