“Grant Writing for Nonprofits” workshop with Midcoast Charities
CAMDEN — United Midcoast Charities' next LEARN@UMC workshop, “Grant Writing for Nonprofits”, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the UMC office in Camden.
UMC is partnering with Rebecca Green, of Amplify Nonprofit Consulting in Waterville. Green is an experienced administrator, educator, and writer who combines versatile communication skills with an insider’s knowledge of successful nonprofit management. She has experience working with social services, youth development, and arts organizations. She co-founded the nonprofit Elm City Music School in 2024 and has served as a city councilor in Waterville since 2020.
Green will share her expertise in proposal writing – including budget development and program design – and discuss developing systems for organizing grant submissions and reports. This is a timely topic as UMC’s Grant Submission window opens to Knox and Waldo County nonprofits on March 1.
Registration is now open. This workshop is free for current UMC grantee organizations, and open to area nonprofits for a $20 fee. Space is limited. Please call 207-236-2299 or email admin@unitedmidcoastcharities.org to register.
United Midcoast Charities plays a pivotal role in providing financial support, strategic guidance, and tangible resources to Midcoast nonprofits providing services in our four focus areas of food, housing, health & safety, and economic security.
