Community visioning workshops in February on future of Camden's Curtis Island Light Station
The Curtis Island Lighthouse Foundation, with the support of the Town of Camden, invites citizens to participate in an opportunity to help shape the future of the Curtis Island Light Station. The lighthouse is on the outer edge of Camden Harbor, on Curtis Island.
Participate in a public discussion and hear updates from the all-volunteer Curtis Island Lighthouse Foundation staff Feb. 2 and Feb. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Camden Public Library's Picker Room. Participation is limited to 36. If demand exceeds capacity, additional sessions will be scheduled in the following weeks.
Organizers want to hear citizen thoughts on the community asset.
The Community Visioning Workshop is designed to gather ideas on the future use of Curtis Island and its four historic lighthouse buildings: Light Tower, Light Keeper’s House, Barn, and Oil Shed.
The workshops are open to the public, but registration is required. Find out more and register directly to curtisisland.org or email info@curtisisland.org.
