On a foggy, misty day, Belfast students from BAHS and THMS involved with the Marine Institute program recently helped retrieve their kelp farm equipment from their LPA (Limited Purpose Aquaculture) site off City Park. Three 400-foot lines, buoys, droppers, and anchors were all picked up to be cleaned, dried and stored until the planting season returns in November.

“ We were excited to have students involved in this part of the kelp season process and hope they will return with us when it is planting time as well as next year's harvest in May,” said Charles Lagerbom.
