Sen. Miramant serves as President Pro Tempore in Senate
AUGUSTA — Sen. David Miramant, D-Camden, served as President Pro Tempore of the Maine Senate on Tuesday, March 29, presiding over the Senate as it voted on a variety of bills and confirmations.
“Serving as President Pro Tempore of the Maine Senate was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Sen. Miramant. “I am grateful for President Jackson for giving me this opportunity and my colleagues in the Maine Senate for helping to make this such a special occasion.”
Sen. Miramant is serving his fourth and final term in the Maine Senate. The Senate President invites outgoing members to serve as Senate Pro Tempore as a courtesy.
“Serving Knox County in the Maine Senate has been such a rewarding experience and as my term wraps up, I know I will miss representing you all here in Augusta,” Sen. Miramant continued.
