SEARSPORT — An end of the era has come for the Searsport Pines Golf Course, as the facility will no longer operate as a golf course.
The Searsport Pines property was sold March 15 and the new owners will not operate it as a golf course, according to a post shared on the course’s Facebook page.
“We truly thank all our members and all golfers that have come to play here at Searsport Pines Golf Course; and, for your support and loyalty over the past 15 years,” the post read.
All members who had pre-paid membership fees have been reimbursed for the total amount they had paid for the 2021 season.
Those with gift cards with a remaining balance can claim refunds by mailing the card along with the credit balance to Searsport Pines Golf Course, PO Box 86, Searsport, ME 04974.
