ROCKPORT — A memorial in honor of Rockport soldiers who served their country in U.S. conflicts has been revitalized with new lights, thank to the town’s Parks Committee.

The Memorial is located in the park opposite the town’s new public library in Rockport Village.

The old lights had deteriorated or been broken, so the Parks Committee installed new lights and wiring, all for $123.

The purpose is to honor the veterans and spruce up the public park.
