Kylie Nelson named Bryant University field hockey co-captain

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Bryant University field hockey head coach Laura Gebhart has appointed Kylie Nelson as one of two team captains for the 2020-21 season, according to an Oct. 6 news release. 

“I'm excited to announce both Kylie and Lyndsay [Swanston] as our captains for the 2020-2021 season,” Gebhart said. “They have displayed immense growth, humility, and dedication over the past few months. Kylie and Lyndsay each bring unique attributes that will enable them to lead the team through the unique opportunities this year presents.”

Nelson, an alumna of Belfast Area High School, has appeared in 54 games over the course of her Bryant career, tallying four goals and eight points.

She played in all 19 games in 2019 and has started 30 of Bryant's last 40 games.
