Georges River Trout Unlimited cancels meetings

Georges River Trout Unlimited has issued the following statement:

Georges River Trout Unlimited has cancelled the April 13 chapter meeting and the board meeting, which were to have been held at Flatbread and Company in Rockport. This is in consideration for the good health of all our members and guests.

Also, a decision has been made to postpone each of the T.U. Regional Rendezvous that had been scheduled for the spring and early summer.

Our T.U. Maine State Council is awaiting word from H.Q. in Arlington, VA as to whether or not we will hold the Trout Unlimited National Meeting in Bangor this August. Maine Council and TU leaders have been working hard for over a year to plan and prepare for this national event to welcome 250 T.U. trustees, members and their families from around the country to visit Maine. This would be the first time that Maine has been selected to host the national meeting.

Outdoor projects will continue on a case by case basis. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife biologists plans to continue with the Quantabacook Lake dam water logging survey in May, and the federal fish passage engineers will conduct their survey at the site in July.
