CAMDEN — Camden’s Harbor Master Steve Pixley has firm words for the scofflaws who are tying up their unpermitted dinghies on town docks: Get them off by Friday or they will be hauled out by Camden Public Works crews.
“No more Mister Nice Guy,” said Pixley, early Monday morning, July 22.
There are many dinghies taking up space at the town docks in Camden Harbor, pushing the number of boats beyond capacity.
Those owners who have not paid the town for a dinghy space tie-up are violating town ordinance, and if said dinghies have no stickers, they are to be removed.
A crew will arrive at the harbor Friday and begin lifting the non-permitted dinghies from the water via the fishermen’s crane.
