Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen jewelry, assault

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 184 calls for service from May 22-30. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

    May 22                                              

    Michael Buck, 35, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Nathaniel Jack for operating after suspension.

    May 23                                              

    Jack is investigating a report from a citizen about stolen jewelry.

    An 11-year-old female, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Jack for assault.

    May 24                                              

    Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 12:46 p.m. Adam Witham, 26, from Liberty, was backing in a parking lot to leave the area and struck the vehicle of Arlene Pausen, 85, of South Thomaston. 

    May 25                                              

    A 17-year-old male, of Union, was issued a summons by Officer Dwight Jones for attaching false plates.

    May 28                                              

    Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen about criminal mischief to his residence window.

    Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 4:44 p.m. involving Richard Hills, 40, of Waldoboro, Quincy Davisson, 35, of North Haven, and Brian Winkley II, 38, of Nobleboro. Winkley’s vehicle was traveling westbound, stopped in traffic. Davisson was traveling westbound slowing in traffic. Hills was also traveling westbound.
