William Gene Little, obituary
WASHINGTON — William Gene Little, 81, died peacefully, with his loving sons at his side, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Sussman Hospice House in Rockport.
Born August 5, 1943, at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, Bill was the son of William Leon and Saide Winchenbach Little. Together with his family, Bill moved from Bristol (Walpole) to West Waldoboro in 1951. He attended Waldoboro public schools, graduating in 1961. He later earned a degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Husson College in June of 1966.
Bill career spanned 25 years, first with GTE Products Corp in the Lighting Division, Sylvania and then with the new owner Orsam Sylvania. He retired from the Waldoboro location in October of 1994.
In the spring of 1995, Bill resumed working, owning a wild blueberry field and developing a fresh market business. With lots of help from friends and family, it was a success, and he finally retired in October of 2022 after 27 years.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey and William; two grandchildren, Jeff, Jr. and Sara; and one great-grand daughter, Ella; all of the Washington area.
