Waldoboro Police beat: Drug possession, arrest warrants

    WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 130 calls for service from July 24-31. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. 

    July 24                      

    Stephanie Libby, 29, of Warren, was arrested by Officer Larry Hesseltine for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

    Dimitra Crudell, 27, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Hesseltine for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

    July 25

    Hesseltine investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 12:15 p.m. Lisa Campbell, 47, of Newcastle, Va., was driving a 2018 Ford sedan. Allen Sanborn, 59, of Lewiston, was driving a 1997 Ford pickup truck. Campbell was traveling westbound, following the roadway. Sanborn was traveling southbound, starting in traffic and failed to yield the right of way. Injuries were not reported. 

    Allen Sanborn, 59, of Lewiston, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. 

    Taylor Johnston, 22, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for operating after habitual offender revocation. Hesseltine summonsed

    Amanda Demmons, 32, of Waldoboro, was charged by Hesseltine with two counts of negotiating a worthless instrument. 

    July 26                      

    Carlton Elliott, 29, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Tom Bartunek on a warrant. 

    July 27                           

    Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on the Old Augusta Road at 8:14 a.m. Nola Metcalf, 61, of Warren, was operating a 2014 Honda utility vehicle. Metcalf was traveling west on the Old Augusta Rd when a deer ran out into the road and struck the vehicle on the driver side front. No injuries were reported.  

    July 28        

    Carlton Elliott, 29, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Fuller for violation of a protective order.

    July 29       

    Michael Ruvido, 24, of Appleton, was arrested by Officer John Lash on a warrant.
