Hello! I wanted to remind everyone in Union, Waldoboro, and Warren to VOTE Tuesday, June 10, in your town’s School Board election. (And if you don't live in these towns please remind your family and friends who do to vote!)

If you remember last year at this time, RSU 40 was on the cusp of bringing politics into this space where they do not belong with proposed book bans and policy changes.

But voters showed up and that’s not what happened! 

Instead we have a school board that has worked together over this past year to solve some large problems very creatively, offer new opportunities for students and families, support our teachers and staff, and more, all while being mindful of taxpayers’ pocketbooks.

With this new election we must maintain the focus on education and keep the experienced individuals currently at the helm in place — especially with the upheaval at the federal level.

So on June 10 (or before if you’re voting absentee!) please vote for:

Erik Amundsen in Union

Danny Jackson in Waldoboro 

Julie Swindler in Warren

Let’s keep these experienced, dedicated individuals who enjoy working in service to our schools on our School Board. We'll be grateful for the continued progress our district will be able to make with another year of this same good, hard work and focus!
