UPDATED: Camden Hills boys finish 10th, girls 14th at alpine skiing state championships

BRIDGTON — The Camden Hills and Islesboro alpine ski teams traveled to Bridgton to compete in the Class A alpine skiing state championships Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at Shawnee Peak. 

Teams participated in a grand slalom event on Friday and a slalom event on Saturday. 

Overall, in the girls division, Camden Hills finished 14th of 18 teams with 1,074 points. 

Overall, in the boys division, Camden Hills finished 10th of 18 teams with 1,259 points and Islesboro finished 18th with 363 points. 

Below are how both teams fared in their respective state championship quests. 

Day One: Grand Slalom 

As a team, the Windjammers finished 14th in the girls division with 590 points and fifth in the boys division with 704 points. 

With only one member in its program, Islesboro finished 18th with 179 points in the boys division.

As a team, the Windjammers finished 14th with 184 points in the girls division and 13th with 555 points in the boys division. 

With only one member in its program, Islesboro finished 17th with 184 points in the boys division.
